Data Analyst - mobile environment, BigQuery

Central London

circa £60-70k DoE + discretionary annual Bonus

Hybrid working - 3-4 days per week in the office

A cracking opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a small, acclaimed, highly creative app and technology company known for ground breaking patented technology in the health care field, including several patents in the pipeline. The apps are truly innovative and positively impact people’s lives.

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong experience gained within a mobile app environment to join their fun, talented team. Their apps are across iOS and Android.

As a key member of the team, you will transform data into insights that drive impactful product and commercial decisions.

You’ll be a collaborative, engaging team player who blends analytical rigour with creativity, thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings fresh ideas to the table.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyse large volumes of key app engagement metrics data to identify actionable insights
  • Help inform and drive strategic decisions in relation to app positioning and growth
  • Design and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, user behaviour, and overall app performance enabling data-led decision-making across teams
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to plan, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and experiments that support feature optimisation and growth initiatives
  • Proactively surface trends, patterns, and commercial opportunities to improve user acquisition, engagement and monetisation strategies
  • Present insights and recommendations to the wider team that directly influence roadmap priorities and go-to-market strategies
  • Uphold data accuracy and integrity across analytics platforms

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a data analysis role within a mobile app environment
  • A BA or BSc degree
  • Proficiency with R, SQL or similar Data Analysis tools
  • Understanding of Statistical Modelling 
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery
  • Strong skills in data visualisation and BI tools e.g. Looker 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate data into decisions
  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of business and product metrics
  • A passion for technology, user experience, and the health tech space

Desirable:

  • Health/wellness app and gaming app experience is advantageous but any B2C app experience is beneficial
  • AI, data science skills
