Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Our client is a deep tech AI company founded by a group of MIT technology enthusiasts, engineers, computer scientists. This well-funded start-up provides Location Intelligence technologies through unique products and tailored solutions that utilize AI and advanced analytics to extract insights from geospatial data to drive business growth.

The Principal Machine Learning Engineer will be ‘in at the start’ in a new London team set to grow rapidly over the coming months.

The ideal candidate is someone passionate about building AI models to extract value from data. You will leverage your strong programming skills to create production-ready code to extract valuable insights from highly complex data sets.

The role:

  • Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
  • Design accurate and scalable prediction/classification algorithms
  • Develop, test, and validate production-ready machine learning pipelines
  • Integrate with other software products (eg. interactive platforms)

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • 10+ years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modelling 
  • Deep understanding of predictive modelling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
  • Experienced in Python and standard machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow and PyTorch)
  • Has some experience with image processing using Deep Learning methods
