Our client is a deep tech AI company founded by a group of MIT technology enthusiasts, engineers, computer scientists. This tiny, well-funded, start-up provides Location Intelligence technologies through unique products and tailored solutions that utilize AI and advanced analytics to extract insights from geospatial data to drive business growth.

The Principal Software Architect will be ‘in at the start’ in a new London team set to grow rapidly over the coming months.

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect who has used state-of-the-art Cloud technologies to release comprehensive technologies. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with diverse experience that loves to design large, complex software products that efficiently incorporate many distinct components. You should guide multiple teams while maintaining a clear vision that integrates their work into a cohesive whole.

The Principal Software Architect role:

  • Lead the design of sophisticated software products for commercial release
  • Guide the integration of multiple databases and software components
  • Ensure scalability of systems that incorporate data, analytics and visualization
  • Code review and performance evaluation for all software components

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in software development
  • Participated in the development and release of multiple completed commercial products
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps practices
  • Experience with scalable service-oriented architectures and efficient data warehousing
  • Experience using Cloud technologies in complex, multifaceted commercial products
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and geospatial software is preferred
