Our client is a deep tech AI company founded by a group of MIT technology enthusiasts, engineers, computer scientists. This well-funded start-up provides Location Intelligence technologies through unique products and tailored solutions that utilize AI and advanced analytics to extract insights from geospatial data to drive business growth.

The Senior Data Visualization Engineer will be ‘in at the start’ in a new London team set to grow rapidly over the coming months.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about diverse forms of data visualization with particular experience in dynamic geospatial visualizations in 2D and 3D. The work will focus on displaying large spatial datasets with dynamic elements and substantial user interaction. 

The Senior Data Visualization Engineer role:

  • Develop sophisticated layered visualizations (2D and 3D) for interactive platforms
  • Write high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Work with analytics teams to display complex data in a clear, accessible manner
  • Establish and maintain a consistent visual style across multiple solutions and products 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field of study
  • 2+years of experience in visualization development in a Web/Mobile environment
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for UI/UX design
  • Experienced in 2D and 3D visualization libraries (e.g. D3, WebGL, Three.js, and Deck.gl)
