Lead Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead - TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres, GCP/Firebase.

£85-100k + discretionary bonus

Hybrid - minimum 2 days per month in the London office

Very high growth (>200% CAGR) e-commerce startup is seeking an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer, crucially technically hands-on, to own the technology stack and guide a small engineering team. 

The lead full stack developer will be a key partner to the founders, translating business goals (eg US expansion) into a clear technical roadmap and high-quality, high-velocity execution.

You will be directly responsible for shipping critical code, while also mentoring other engineers, driving technical strategy, and ensuring the platform scales with rapid international growth. 

You'll need to show clear development in strong engineering environments and time in a specific role where you've demonstrated strong performance and growth, ideally in a fast-moving startup or product-led environment. Experience with a payment platform would be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Strong experience across the stack: TypeScript, React Native, React, Node, Postgres, GCP/Firebase
• A genuine full-stack mindset: happy working in the mobile app, web apps, backend, and writing SQL when needed
• Confident writing efficient, production-ready code - fast, reliable, observable, and easy to maintain
• Comfortable with a high-pace release culture
• Product-focused, enabling you to empathise with users and steer feature development
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and ability to work in GMT-friendly time zones
• Deep practitioner of AI powered SWE tools (Cursor, Windsurf, v0, etc.) and excited to push productivity to the limit

This is an inflexion point for the business. The Tech Lead will be pivotal in shaping the product and overall business.
